  1. The Grasshopper is sub-orbital, but it is part of the longer-term design of a reusable rocket system that will be orbital. You can read up on it on Wikipedia but the gist of it is pretty simple: instead of throwing away the first and second stages of an orbital rocket, the stages would be brought back to the landing pad and prepared for reuse in just “single-digit hours”.
